Methodology
Items and scoring are draft v0.1. Research informs the development approach; the H.U.M.A.N. instrument itself has not been validated.

Items and responses
Twenty-five behavioral items, five per dimension, ask how often you demonstrated a behavior during the past 90 days when an opportunity arose. Responses run from 1 (never or almost never) to 5 (consistently or almost always). "No opportunity to demonstrate" is a separate response and is never converted into a number.
Scoring
- All items are weighted equally within a dimension. There is no overall score.
- A dimension mean is shown only when at least four of its five responses are numeric. This is a provisional display rule, not a reliability claim.
- Means display to one decimal on a fixed 1 to 5 axis. Ordering uses the unrounded value.
- Suggested priorities are eligible dimensions with a mean below 4, lowest first, at most two, with ties ordered H, U, M, A, N. This is a planning convention, not a readiness cutoff.
- Context answers, support answers, optional examples and strengths reflections never change scores or suggestions.
Principle
Promotion is not proof of leadership readiness. Preparation must begin before the title changes and continue as the responsibility grows.
For that reason, the plan builder supports three development stages: preparing before promotion; transitioning after appointment or expanded scope; continuing development in an established role. The stage you confirm changes only the suggested milestones and supporting actions. It never changes items, scores or suggested priorities, and no promotion date is required.
Plans
Suggested plans use reviewed templates, not AI. An optional AI draft from your own notes is available only if you confirm sending them; it never changes items, scores or suggestions. Each suggested action comes from a fixed mapping between items and action seeds. Completing actions is not verified capability improvement.
Research informing the design
