H.U.M.A.N. Change Leadership Lab

Practice leading change when your team is already stretched.

Three fictional scenarios put you inside a change effort for six simulated weeks. You make the decisions, live with the consequences, and debrief against the H.U.M.A.N. framework.

Free. No account. About 15 to 20 minutes per scenario, an estimate only. Your work stays in this browser tab unless you download a progress file.

What this Lab is and is not

Fictional scenarios for reflection and practice. Authored learning feedback, not a validated assessment, a psychological measurement or a prediction of outcomes. This Lab does not support employment, promotion or selection decisions.

The Conversation Lab rehearses the words of a difficult conversation. This Lab rehearses the decisions around it: sequencing, capacity, authority, consultation and follow-through over time.

Choose a scenario

Each scenario offers two genuinely different roles: the manager or change sponsor, and an affected employee. Your role changes which choices are available to you.

  • Another Priority. No Added Capacity.

Your twelve-person service team is already two people short when a new six-week initiative lands with no added resources. Practice separating fixed requirements from negotiable scope before you promise anything.

  • The Team Has Heard This Before.

A previous rollout promised relief and delivered extra work, then was quietly abandoned. Now a new sponsor wants fast public buy-in for a new initiative. Practice rebuilding credibility through acknowledgment, small reversible steps and visible follow-through.

  • The Tool Is Ready. The People Aren't.

A new digital workflow, including an optional drafting-assist feature, changes responsibilities before training is complete. Practice sequencing readiness, protected learning time, decision rights and accountable human review.

Why these three scenarios

This Lab is memory-only: your decisions live in this browser tab and clear when you leave, unless you download a progress file. Nothing you choose or write here is sent anywhere, and no Change Lab activity is included in site analytics. Optional dictation on free-text fields uses your browser's own speech service, only after you consent each time; this Lab never receives or saves audio, and typing is always available.
